The cold and flu season is back and to ward off unwanted germs and keep your immune system strong make sure to load up on vitamin C. Oranges, grapefruits, and kiwis are packed with Vitamin C. In fact, most adults can meet their daily requirements of Vitamin C by eating a single orange. Other ways to increase your intake of Vitamin C include drinking orange juice, taking a Vitamin C supplement or a multivitamin, or drinking grapefruit juice. You might also be surprised to know that by replacing oranges, grapefruits, or kiwis with other snacks such as cookies or chips you will save yourself 100 to 200 calories per day. This translates into 10 to 20 pounds per year.
